Qualifying: The final rounds of the championship after a long drive to Shubenacadie, Nova Scotia. A new track for Stacey to learn and a return for Toni. By the end of the session, Stacey was 19th and Toni 21st out of the 24 competitors. Toni improved upon her time from last year. A practice crash on Saturday morning for Toni after the chequered flag meant a trip to the medical centre. Fortunatley she got the all clear and was not too bothered knowing the crash was not really her fault. Her helmet did not pass tech however. Thanks to Steven Nickerson for lending his spare Zox helmet. The bike also required some repairs, but with some spare parts, zip ties and duct tape it passed the tech inspection and was ready to go. Thanks again to Frank Trombino, Robert Holt, Franklyn Dominguez and Eric from Honda for your help with repairs. Thanks also to Steven's mechanic Brian Cranston for his input through out the weekend.
Race: Stacey got a good start, but has struggled at this track all weekend. She dropped back to her starting position and was soon within Toni's range. The added incentive for Toni to beat her sister for the first time was not lost. Having her own battle with Ellen and Connor Warnell, she worked her way back to Stacey. She made a pass on the last lap, but Stacey repassed on turn 7 to hold on to 18th over the line. Both improved their laptimes by a second in the race, with Toni having to make do with a faster lap time than Stacey.
