Qualifying: The action was not over after the race on Sunday afternoon. It was time to move over to the smaller track for round five. Toni decided to sit out this round as she was having difficulty adapting to the tight track. Although Stacey's foot was painful, she was keen to get out and qualify for the race on Monday. A problem with the damaged gear shifter meant she only got two laps in before having to return to the pit for repairs. With help from Eric (Honda Canada) Stacey was able to get out on track with the second group to complete her practice. After a short break it was straight into qualifying. Bearing in mind the limited practice time and the fact that the local racers knew the track well, Stacey managed to qualify in 11th place. This would put her on the 5th row of the grid.

Race: A good start saw Stacey move up to eighth place in turn one. The riders were bunched up on the tight track and a few locals made their way past. For more than half the race Stacey maintained 10th position despite the constant pressure from behind. She lost one further position due to a small error, but a crash up front moved her back into 10th at the checkered flag. This is her first top ten finish in the National series. Stacey made a lot of progress this weekend, closing the gap to the leaders. She has confidence going to the next round at Mosport. Despite the non-finish in round four, Stacey retains 16th position in the championship.

Thanks: A few words of thanks to the following for their help on our first trip to Calgary;

- Kim and Warren from Honda Canada for providing the transportation for the bikes and gear.

- Eric (Honda Canada) for helping out all the CBR riders with their bike repairs.

- PMP staff

- Jay Fox and family for being great hosts and for the loan of the club gear and bikes to get Toni and Staceys' Dad on track!
- The track volunteers and corner workers as it would not be possible to race without them
- Keith Nickerson for his valuable feedback (ok, you too Steven!)

- Yanick and Cedric Martineau
- The CBR competitors and their parents for making this a fun event. Hope to see you all at Mosport.
