Practice and Qualifying: Both girls made steady progress throughout the weekend. Stacey improved her lap times by six seconds during the Saturday practice day. In the heat race she started in eighth position and finished in the same spot, having a good race with Shay Gauthier. Toni is getting back to up to speed. There was a noticeable improvement now the rear shock problem has been corrected. Toni finished the heat race in eleventh position.

Race: Stacey had a great four way race with Rheanna Christie, Shay Gauthier and Franklyn Dominguez (the former Dominican Republic Superbike champion was a guest rider in the class). Again starting in eighth position, Stacey would move into the top six at one point. The battle went down to the wire with Stacey managing a drafting pass on Christie to claim seventh place by 0.064 seconds. In the process she improved her best lap time by three seconds, which saw her dip under the existing track record. Toni had a steady race to finish eleventh also improving her previous best lap time of the weekend by two seconds. She takes much encouragement heading to the next race in Calgary.

Thanks: A word of thanks to Franklyn Dominguez and Maiboa for getting the bikes race prepared for Calgary. Once again to Franklyn for spending a practice session with Stacey to help her work on her racing lines. To Robert Holt for his all round help and to Frank Trombino for taking the time to stop by the pit to help the girls out with advice. Congratulations on the superbike win Frank.
