![]() Sure enough FP2 on Saturday morning was wet. With the forecast to be dry for the remainder of the weekend there was not a lot to be achieved so the goal was keep learning the track and bring the bike home up right. Qualifying Saturday afternoon, the sun was out again and the track was dry. Made a change to the front suspension and the bike felt better. It was just a matter of getting in with a group and getting faster lap times. Improved by over 2.5 seconds from FP1 but that still was only 21st on the grid. Sunday, race day with an afternoon start, sunny and dry. Got a great start when the lights went out moving up two rows. Gained some more positions in the draft but got shuffled back again at turn five from a concertina affect and had brake fade in the first two laps. Thankfully the brakes improved again but by that time the positions gained had been lost again. Eventually finished 19th but found another 2 seonds in the race. Disappointed to not finish higher but taking the positives from the race the difference in Stacey's fastest lap time and the winner's was the closest gap this year - and that was new lap record pace.
