Stacey Nesbitt made her CSBK AM Sportbike and Superbike debut at St-Eustache. Thanks to Forensi-Tech racing for preparing a bike at short notice. A rear suspension change on Friday night and new tires for qualifying made a big difference in the handling. ʺI have to say thank you to John Ilkiw from Elka Suspensions for being on hand to help me out this first weekend. It made a huge difference having the bike set up correctlyʺ said Stacey. It was a learning weekend with the goal to make steady progress. Stacey finished AM Sportbike in 18th position after a last lap excursion across the grass and 15th in AM Superbike setting her best lap of the weekend.
Thanks to: Forensi-Tech Racing, John Ilkiw (Elka Suspension). Statoni Racing team, John Sharrard, Jodi Christie, Franklyn Dominguez, Robert Holt, Vincent, Joshua Fenton, Arai Helmets, Raceline Canada, Arlen Ness, Pro 6 Cycle, R&M Electrical, Lucky Stripe, Club Ouest Gym, VnM Sportgear, Clarence and Cripps, family, friends and supporters.

Hikari Okubo had a rocky start to his race weekend when his race gear bag got lost at the airport. Moto Nation came to the rescue and loaned Hikari boots, gloves and a back protector. He was able to use Stacey’s backup leathers and helmet. Fortunately his own gear arrived just in time for first practice. It did not impact him and he broke the lap record by 1.3 seconds in the first session. This form continued throughout the weekend, taking pole position and winning both races by healthy margins. Hiakri really enjoyed his first Canadian racing experience and would like to thank Powersports Canada, Ottawa for providing the CBR250, Moto Nation, Statoni Racing team, Stacey Nesbitt, Kim (Honda Canada) and all the well-wishers in the paddock throughout the weekend.
